Handmade Leather Sword Sheath by Darya87 Handmade Leather Sword Sheath by Darya87
Finally done ;)

This is my second leather craft thingy - a sword sheath for my (or better my friend's) larp claymore.
The sheath is about 43 inches in lenght (110cm), with an embeveled (self-designed) pattern on it.
It's dyed with two layers: acrylic resolene ([link]) as a color blocker and a mid-brown antique gel ([link]).
It's a 0.12 inches strong cowhide and is lined with faux fur (to protect the latex sword).
The hanger is a snap hook - so it can be easily hanged on a belt.

--------------------------------------
A special thanks goes to:
- my boyfriend who clinched the rest of the sheath as I set the leather awl into my hand ;)
- my beloved leather supply in Berlin: [link] - just great people there
---------------------------------------
Hours of work:
- about 4 days for the pattern
- about 2 days for assemling the sheath
- 1 day of soloring
---------------------------------------

Da entdeck ich das wirklich erst jetzt ... Wow!

Schleunigst!
